Our Daddy, the Hero
I just talked to Dan on the phone (the first time today...YAY me!!) and he told me the reason Jayden woke up 3 1/2 hours earlier than usual... Dan woke up very early to the terrified screams coming from Jayden's room. He said they were not the normal "I had a nightmare" screams, but some "I'm about to die!!!!!" screams. He went down to see what was the matter, and another *insert bad word* bird had gotten into our house and was dive-bombing my poor baby boy!! Dan caught the bird and threw it outside, then tried to get Jayden to calm down. Karah woke up during all of the commotion, so going back to bed was not an option. Daddy bravely faced the cranky kids alone, trying to keep them from waking me. Thank you, Sweetheart, for being our Hero!!

Okay, that's it! Call in the troops and find out where the heck they are coming from. This is sounding more like an Alfred Hitchcock movie all the time. Poor, poor Jay-bir---oops, I mean poor Jayden! ;o)
Thank you, Dan.
Yes, I still read your blog to answer your question! That is too bad about the bird situation. If I were you, I would simply tell your son since they are always coming over night that they are just shooting stars with beaks and the flapping sound is just stardust falling! That will calm him down! lol.
In a totally related note, there was a terrible electrical storm last night and there was a bat in the house here! For real. Bats, oh the joy!
Dang, girl...you can sleep through anything! Good thing Dan had his cape handy and saved the day. Do you guys have a chimney that needs a screen???
Nope, no chimney...
